    Seqwater will be undertaking construction works at Borumba Dam from Tuesday 3 October 2017 for the Borumba Boat Ramp Stage 2 Upgrade.

    The upgrade will be able to provide an improved and safer vessel launching point for boat operators. Seqwater manages numerous dams that are open to recreation and maintaining safe access to the water is an important part of its commitment to water based recreational activities.

    As of Monday 25 September, recreation activities at Lake Baroon will be limited to paddling and shoreline fishing at the Southern Recreation Area only.

    Boating with trailerable vessels and swimming are not permitted anywhere at the lake due to low water levels.

    Please refrain from launching paddlecraft or fishing from the shoreline at the Northern Recreation Area due to hazards at the shoreline.

    These closures are for your safety, and the safety of those around you. Please observe the directions of signage and staff on-site.

    Potable (drinking water) is no longer supplied at Lake Borumba's recreation area and campground.

    Visitors are asked to bring their own drinking water supplies when using these facilities.

    All taps and other water points on-site are labelled 'not to drink'.

  • Mt Crosby Weir Bridge maintenance – September–December 2017

    In September–December 2017, Seqwater will be conducting maintenance on the Mt Crosby Weir Bridge between Stumers Road and Allawah Road.

    The work will involve repairs to the downstream toe of the weir, installing two new sluice gates to manage water releases and strengthening the guardrails on either side of the bridge.
