Seqwater is conducting its annual testing and inspection of cathodic protection systems across the Northern region in June.

During this time, you may notice Seqwater employees and contractors accessing roads, footpaths, parks and properties in your area including:

  • Bridges
  • Cooroy
  • Eewah Vale
  • Eudlo
  • Eumundi
  • Image Flat
  • Kulangoor
  • Lake Macdonald
  • Mooloolah Valley
  • Nambour
  • North Arm
  • Palmwoods
  • Pomona
  • Woombye
  • Yandina

Work will occur between 7am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday, and should only take about two hours to complete on each property, weather permitting. Equipment will include hand tools and testing devices only, and work is not expected to interrupt water supply.

Cathodic protection systems are designed to protect underground pipelines from corrosion.

Seqwater operates an extensive network of water infrastructure including dams, water treatment plants and pipelines – the SEQ Water Grid.
