    Lake Baroon is temporarily closed to swimming as a result of heavy rainfall in the catchment and resulting inflows to the lake. 

    The closure is in the interest of public safety while water quality testing is undertaken. 

    We will re-open the lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Please follow the direction of staff and signage on-site.

    Seqwater will be conducting essential bulk water pipeline maintenance at the Lloyd Street Pump Station from 27 February 2018, subject to weather conditions and other unexpected delays.

  • Ewen Maddock walking trails - Temporary partial closure

    Maintenance work will be undertaken to sections of the Ewen Maddock trail network commencing 20 February 2018.

    Trail sections between the access points at Ford Road and the Mooloolah Connection Road and Maddock Park will be closed progressively while work is underway.

    In the interests of safety all trail users are requested to observe the direction of staff and signage at the site.

    Work is expected to be completed by Friday 23 February.

    Maintenance works will be undertaken on Thursday 28 February and Friday 1 March to clear the shoreline vegetation in the vicinity of the swimming area and paddle craft launch point. An additional boom will also be installed to impede encroachment of the vegetation into the launch area.
    In the interest of public safety the area will be closed for the duration of the works.
    All visitors are requested to observe the direction of signage and staff working at the site.
    The site will be reopened as soon as works are complete.
