North Pine Dam

Seqwater advises flood releases from North Pine Dam began at 12:00 am 17/12/24 due to continuing rain.

These releases, combined with river and creek flows downstream of the dam, are likely to cause water over the following bridges and crossings – Youngs Crossing.

Somerset and Wivenhoe Dams

Operational releases from Somerset Dam, which flow into Wivenhoe Dam are continuing. These releases may cause the lake level in Wivenhoe to rise by more than 0.5 metres in the next 2 to 3 days.

Flood releases from Wivenhoe Dam are not expected at this stage though this is dependent on the volume of rainfall received.

Several ungated dams are spilling.
