Be Safe, For Fun's Sake is about keeping your family, friends and self safe when visiting South East Queensland's lakes, dams and parks. That way the fun never has to end.

More than three million people visit South East Queensland dams, lakes and parks every year. While our rangers regularly patrol the lakes and recreation areas, they can't be everywhere to help you. It's important to plan ahead and know your safety rules so everyone can enjoy a great day out and go home safe and sound.

  • Sign up for our free dam release notification service to receive notifications by SMS, email or recorded messages to landlines when gated dam releases are occurring, or un-gated dams are spilling.
