Seqwater’s Flood Operations Centre mobilised at 12:00PM on Wednesday 2 April 2025.
North Pine Dam
Flood releases from North Pine dam have stopped. Operational releases via the regulator to continue this evening.
Youngs Crossing has reopened.
Wivenhoe Dam
Flood releases began at 10:00 am. These releases are expected to inundate Twin Bridges, Savages Crossing and Colleges Crossing.
It is not expected that Fernvale Bridge,Burtons Bridge, Bells Crossing (Kholo Bridge), Mt Crosby Weir Bridge or the Mt Crosby Vehicle Bridge will be affected at this time.
Somerset Dam
Flood releases through the regulators began at 8:00AM.
Un-gated dams
A number of un-gated dams continue to spill as a result of recent rainfall in the dam catchments across South East Queensland:

Un-gated dams are designed to spill during periods of heavy rain to ensure the protection and safety of the dam. Read more about how gated and un-gated dams work here.
Avoid potential hazards downstream of dams such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.
