Information about Seqwater's flood releases

North Pine Dam
Seqwater advises flood releases from North Pine Dam began at 12:00 am 17/12/24 due to continuing rain.
These releases, combined with river and creek flows downstream of the dam, are likely to cause water over the following bridges and crossings – Youngs Crossing.
Somerset Dam
Somerset Dam is continuing to release water into Wivenhoe Dam.
Wivenhoe Dams
Flood releases commenced from midday Tuesday 17/12/24. The impact of releases on downstream river levels are expected to be below the Minor flood level.
Local catchment flows and dam releases will result in the closure of Savages Crossing, Colleges Crossing and Twins Bridges.

A number of ungated dams continue to spill as a result of recent rainfall in the dam catchments across South East Queensland:

- Nindooinbah Dam
- Baroon Pocket Dam
- Borumba Dam
- Cedar Pocket Dam
- Enoggera Dam
- Ewen Maddock Dam
- Gold Creek Dam

- Leslie Harrison Dam
- Little Nerang Dam
- Maroon Dam
- Sideling Creek Dam
- Wappa Dam
- Wyaralong Dam

Avoid potential hazards downstream of dams such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and floodplains.
