Lake Kurwongbah is temporarily closed to all water-based  activities including water skiing and paddle craft. This is due to the recent significant rainfall into the catchment and resulting inflows which may affect water quality, as well as the resulting water flowing over the spillway.

The closure will remain in place for the next three days and be reassessed on Friday 20 December 2024. Please note any further significant rainfall could extend the closure period.
