Lake Macdonald is temporarily closed to all water-based activities from Friday, 28 March 2025 including fishing, boating and paddle craft. This is due to recent significant rainfall and conditions.

The closure will remain in place for the next three days and be reassessed on Monday 31 March 2025. Please note any further significant rainfall could extend the closure period.
