Lake Wivenhoe is now classified as a Marine Zone under the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Regulation 2016. This means there are rules to help protect the environment and keep everyone safe:

• No operation of personal watercraft (Jetski)
• No ships powered by engines other than electric, 4-stroke, or 2-stroke direct injection engines.
• Maximum speed limit of 6 knots.

These rules have always applied but now they are enforceable. Not following them may result in fines. Please ensure you comply for everyone’s safety.
