    Due to recent inflows in the catchment and storm damage from recent weather events, Ewen Maddock Dam is closed to all in-water and on-water recreation. 

    Maddock Park and the surrounding trail network has also closed due to storm damage - including fallen trees blocking access to the site.

    Contractors will be conducting weed control work on land adjoining the trail network at Postmans Track, North Pine Dam commencing Monday 11 December 2017.

    Signage will be in place to advise visitors of the work area.

    Work is unlikely to impact recreational users at this site and is expected to be completed by Friday 15 December 2017.

    Seqwater is confident its management of Wivenhoe and Somerset dams during the January 2011 flood will be vindicated by the NSW Supreme Court.

    We have never wavered from our belief that our flood engineers did an extraordinary job in the most difficult and demanding circumstances. This position has not changed.

    The January 2011 event was one of the most damaging and extreme natural flood disasters ever experienced in our region. Wivenhoe Dam received inflows much greater than the 1974 flood.
