INDUCTION AND TRAINING

Contractors are required to complete the Seqwater Site Induction before undertaking work on any Seqwater site or asset. The induction provides information relating to the following:

  • Common hazards and risk at our operational sites
  • What you should do before, during and after attending and operational site
  • Our expectations and your obligation while visiting or working on our operational sites.

Visitors and group tours (tender site walk or school group) do not need to complete the online induction, you will be inducted once on site.

Should you have any questions in relation to the content within the induction please direct them to your Seqwater Engaging Officer.

The induction should be completed prior to arriving onsite and will need to be reviewed every 2 years. Note: if after 2 years you do not renew your induction, or fail to complete the induction within 21 days of creating your account, it will be automatically terminated from the system.

For assistance with inductions, please read the following helpful guides.

WHS site hazard registers

Any job with potential exposure to hazards must be carefully planned.

All Seqwater sites have a hazard register. Your engaging officer will advise of any known hazards or risks associated with the workplace. You may also request a copy to be informed of the potential hazards associated with the site you are working at.

Before commencing onsite, contractors must submit a Job Safety and Enironment Analysis (JSEA) or Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) identifying any hazards and controls associated with the work you will undertake.

Download a SWMS template here.

Incident and hazard reporting

All hazards, near misses, incidents and injuries must be reported to Seqwater’s Incident Hotline. Your engaging officer will give you the details.

If you are involved in, or witness, an incident, near miss, or discover a security breach you must:

  • notify the relevant Seqwater manager/supervisor as soon as possible
  • contact Seqwater’s Incident Hotline
  • assist in the investigation if required.

Never put yourself in danger.
