QUOTES

Quotes attributable to Minister for Water, Glenn Butcher:

Seqwater’s Next Generation Traineeship Program is a fantastic gateway to a rewarding career in the water industry, with eight roles available across South East Queensland.

As the region’s state-owned bulk water provider, Seqwater delivers essential services across the region, and I encourage job seekers to apply for the opportunity to be part of one of the most important industries in the world.

I was an apprentice all those years ago and I know how important our government-owned corporations are when it comes to apprentice and traineeship programs.

The water sector has so many exciting opportunities and I look forward to seeing Seqwater support the careers of the next generation of water professionals.

Quotes attributable to Seqwater Interim CEO, Will Harpham:

Seqwater’s Next Generation Traineeship Program is structured around a Certificate III qualification and provides ongoing training and development opportunities along the way.

Our traineeships are paid and require no prior experience, giving job seekers the opportunity to earn while you learn. All you need to bring is a great attitude and a willingness to learn from people who are incredibly passionate about what they do.

Whether you’re a school leaver or considering a career change, Seqwater’s traineeship program is for you.

We do good work, with great people in beautiful places, and we can’t wait to work with you.

Quotes attributable to Seqwater Water Treatment Operator, Dale De Marchi:

I recently completed Seqwater’s Next Generation Traineeship Program and have gained a position with the organisation as a water treatment operator at the North Pine Water Treatment Plant.

With no prior experience required, I joined Seqwater’s two-year training program after deciding on a career change from hospitality.

Hospitality taught me the importance of maintaining high standards and working efficiently under pressure and the career change represented a significant step towards my passion for environment and community.

I’ve now completed my training and am working full-time with Seqwater. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to essential water treatment processes for the region and to grow in an exciting and rewarding field.

I encourage job seekers to apply for the program for the chance to be part of an exciting industry.
